Al Nasr Dominates Qatar SC 5-1 to Win Qatar-UAE Super Cup

In a commanding performance, Al Nasr of the UAE defeated Qatar SC 5-1 to claim the Qatar-UAE Super Cup for the second time. The match took place at the Al Maktoum Stadium in Dubai on Friday, with Al Nasr emerging victorious in front of their home crowd.

Ali Mabkhout’s Brace and Other Key Goals Secure Victory for Al Nasr

Al Nasr started the match strong, gaining an early lead and maintaining their pressure throughout. Ali Mabkhout played a crucial role, scoring twice—once in the 13th minute and again in the 71st minute. Other goals came from Manolo Gabbiadini (45+4), Abdoulaye Toure (81st), and Ahmed Abdulla Mohamad Jashak (88th minute penalty). Qatar SC’s only goal came from Ben Malango in the 75th minute.

The match began with Al Nasr catching Qatar SC off guard. Gabbiadini provided a great assist from the right, setting up Mabkhout to score after a blocked shot by Qatar SC goalkeeper Satea Abdelnasser. Gabbiadini doubled the lead in added time, assisted by Adel Taarabt, making it 2-0 at halftime.

Qatar SC Fights Back but Al Nasr Maintains Control

Qatar SC came out more determined after the break, with Carlinhos coming close to scoring in the 54th minute when his shot hit the post. Another attempt was denied by Al Nasr’s goalkeeper Ahmed Mohamed Shambieh. Despite their efforts, Al Nasr extended their lead with Mabkhout’s second goal following a cross from Toure, making it 3-0.

Qatar SC responded with a goal from Malango, who capitalized on an assist from Badr Benoun to make it 3-1. However, Al Nasr quickly regained control, with Toure scoring after a second attempt in the 81st minute, bringing the score to 4-1.

Penalty Seals the Win for Al Nasr

The final blow came when Qatar SC’s goalkeeper charged toward Jashak, who was advancing with the ball. Jashak was awarded a penalty and converted it to seal a 5-1 victory for Al Nasr.

This win marks a dominant performance for Al Nasr in the second edition of the Qatar-UAE Super Cup. The inaugural edition saw Qatar’s Al Arabi claim the title with a 1-0 victory over Sharjah from the UAE.
