Anak yang cerdas biasanya memiliki kemampuan ingatan yang kuat dan detail terhadap berbagai informasi yang pernah ia alami atau terdengar. Ia mampu mengingat momen-momen kecil yang terjadi dalam waktu yang lama. Kemampuan ini tentu sangat membantu dalam memahami dan menangkap pelajaran di sekolah serta menjadi penutur cerita yang baik baik dalam bentuk tulisan maupun lisan. Sebab, para penulis dan pemikir dimulai dari kemampuan mengingat hal-hal secara detail dan baik.
4. Memiliki kosakata tinggi
Anda mungkin merasa kesulitan memahami apa yang diucapkan oleh anak Anda karena anak tersebut menggunakan kosakata tinggi. Namun, jangan meremehkan kemampuan anak tersebut. Sebaliknya, inilah kesempatan bagi Anda untuk belajar dari anak. Tidak selalu anak harus belajar dari orang dewasa, kan? Ciri kecerdasan anak juga dapat dilihat dari kebiasaannya dalam memperhatikan hal-hal secara detail. Orang lain seringkali melewatkan hal-hal kecil yang diperhatikan oleh anak cerdas. Dengan demikian, mereka dapat memahami cara kerja suatu hal dengan lebih spesifik. Terkadang, Anda akan menemukan anak yang tiba-tiba diam dan tampak terfokus. Namun, sebenarnya ia sedang memikirkan hal-hal yang tidak disadari oleh banyak orang. Oleh karena itu, sebaiknya jangan mengganggu anak saat ia sedang terfokus pada sesuatu yang dianggapnya penting.

Salah satu tanda kecerdasan yang dapat diamati sejak anak usia dini adalah kemampuan imajinatifnya. Misalnya ketika anak sedang menggambar, banyak orang tua yang mungkin akan menertawakan gambar yang dihasilkan karena dianggap tidak masuk akal, seperti gambar garis-garis yang dijelaskan sebagai wortel atau gambar bola-bola yang dianggap sebagai beruang. Namun, jika imajinasi anak dihargai sejak dini, ini dapat menjadi bekal bagi mereka untuk menjadi seorang penulis atau pelukis yang berbakat di masa depan.
7. Tertarik dengan banyak hal
Jika seorang anak menunjukkan minat untuk belajar dan mengeksplorasi berbagai hal, seperti pelajaran, musik, dan olahraga, maka hal ini menunjukkan tanda kecerdasannya. Anak tersebut tidak hanya tertarik pada hal-hal yang terlihat dari permukaan saja, tetapi ia ingin mengeksplorasi minatnya lebih dalam. Mereka akan bertanya dan mencari tahu tentang banyak hal yang diminatinya. Namun, terkadang orang tua kurang mendukung atau memfasilitasi keinginan anak tersebut dan hanya mengarahkannya untuk mendalami satu hal saja sejak dini. Padahal, ini disayangkan karena potensi lainnya dapat terbuang begitu saja.
8. Mempunyai bakat seni
Anak yang memiliki bakat seni seperti kemampuan menggambar dan bernyanyi juga dapat dikategorikan sebagai anak cerdas. Pada masa balita, mereka umumnya sudah mampu menggambar dengan rapi atau bernyanyi dengan nada yang tepat, yang menunjukkan bahwa otak kiri dan kanan mereka sudah seimbang.
9. Membaca lebih awal
